Volunteers

"Pink Ladies" staff the Information Desk

Volunteers play a key role in serving hospital patrons in the Hunt Regional Healthcare system.

Active volunteers at both Hunt Regional Healthcare hospitals contribute thousands of hours each year, providing services to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.

More than 50 Hospital Auxiliary members known as "Pink Ladies" are active volunteers at Hunt Regional Medical Center.

They staff the information desk and gift shop; deliver juice, flowers, and email to patients; make teddy bears for hospitalized children; and volunteer in several hospital departments.

Hunt Regional Medical Center Gift Shop

Hunt Regional Medical Center volunteers donated $20,000 for special patient room furnishings for the Maternity Center at the hospital. They also provide two annual $2,500 scholarships for graduating high school students pursuing medical careers.

Hunt Regional Community Hospital’s 35 volunteers run the downtown Bargain Box resale shop to raise funds for their projects, which include purchases of equipment for the hospital. They staff the information desk, assist at the nurses’ station, and volunteer in the radiology department.

If you’re interested in joining this dedicated group, contact Volunteer Director Jeanye Roberts at 903-408-1168.
