No, there was no emergency other than the potential of hungry families during the holidays. Hunt County Emergency Medical Technicians and First Responders held their annual “Fill the Bus” food drive for the United Way of Hunt County this month, delivering the bounty to UW headquarters last week.

Andrew Madden, a Greenville paramedic, hauls an arm-load of items from the bus while Kraig Betterton carries a stack of cans up to his chin.

Buses lined up in front of the Paul Mathews Exchange building. The United Way headquarters in downtown Greenville is shown with donated food.

The hospital Atrium is the setting for various musicians and school groups
performing Christmas music during the holidays.
Brother Ram Davis, on his way to a treatment at Presbyterian Hospital’s Wound Care Center on Monday, stopped at the Atrium’s piano for an impromptu holiday and gospel concert that had hospital visitors and staff lining the second floor overlooking the Atrium. Bro. Davis is a member of Mt. Elam Baptist Church and is currently the pianist at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
